The Runescape Fishing Bot is a program that gives players an unfair advantage in Runescape. Players use this program to gain levels, or most commonly, money. When players use macros to get money, they are referred to as “Gold Farmers”. When Jagex introduced the trade limits, this (almost) stopped the people that sold Runescape gold for real money.

Using a macro is against Rule 7, for many reasons than one. The obvious reason is that when you use it you get an unfair advantage, but this is not the only reason. Most people who claim to be giving out these programs are really giving out viruses known as Keyloggers. These viruses can steal your Runescape name and password. Not to mention anything else you type such as your email, credit card information, and so on.

Sadly, these people found a way around even that. Therefore, they invented Gold Farming. This new way breaks even MORE rules, because they have to get on the person’s account to Gold Farm. This is in breach of Rule 6, Account Sharing/Trading. Of course, I could go on and on about all the rules you break when you buy gold.

What to look for in a suspected bot
Bots are very easy to detect, even for normal players. On Free to Play worlds, they are usually level 3, with the default look. They will have random names usually, though some might have Asian names, as Jagex claims most of the botters come out of the East Asian countries. On Pay to Play worlds they are anywhere from 3-30, but there have been some bots that are higher levels.

Another way to tell if the player is a bot, ask them questions. If they do not respond most likely, they are bots. Bots will do their assigned task and ONLY their assigned task. Therefore, if you have a fishing bot, they are going to fish and bank, and then go back to fishing. They will do this over and over without saying a word to anyone.

I learned a little more about how bots work, so let me tell you how the popular ones work -
Newly created Runescape Fishing Bots will start getting levels by net fishing in Draynor Village. According to how smart the bot is, when they get to level 40 fishing, they will head to Catherby for Members and to Karamja for non-members. When they get to 68, they might then go to the Fishing Guild in pay to play worlds. When they reach 76, they will then fish sharks at the Fishing Guild or at Catherby. Some, however, may stick with lobsters (usually free to play).

So what did the botters do to our economy? Those who are leveling their cooking to 99 are happy that they were here. They lowered the price of raw fish a great deal, so now they are able to get to 99 a lot cheaper. of course, those who sell fish for a living think the exact opposite because the money they were making has fallen, so now they have to produce more fish for the same amount as they were getting before.

At one point in 2007, Raw Sharks were down to 400 coins each because of the surplus the bots were producing. After the mass bannings of the fishing bots, the sharks have started to climb again, they climbed to 800, and now they are close to 1000 each again.

So now, you know how bad botting can be, and why there are rules against it. Please, do not use a macro

Holiday Runescape Quests Free Guild

Posted by: admin    in Runescape Quest Guild

Every year Runescape throws huge parties for different occasions. The three most common are; Easter, Halloween, and Christmas. On these three days, Jagex sends out a NPC and a new quest. If you do the quest (Which is usually easy), you will be rewarded with a Holiday item. Although at the time everyone will have one, so you wont feel special, but once the event is over and they have been taken out of circulation, you can have quite a bit of fun with people who have not seen what it does. There is an Easter ring that can turn you into an egg.

It is always fun when someone walks by and the egg sitting on the road speaks to them. My favorite party has always been the Easter party. The holiday items are usually magical and you can have loads of fun with them. One year they passed out Rubber Chickens and you can walk up and “whack” people with it. Not too many people have these anymore, so it’s always fun to wield one, walk up, and whack a random person out of the wilderness. They will usually freak out and ask questions like “How did you do that?!” The holiday parties are always big, and loads of fun. The last Easter party you actually got to become a bunny! I bet by now you cannot wait for the next holiday quest!

It will make the defeat of their enemies all the more cruel, because not only will they be dead, but also they will be jealous. (Unless of course they have a Santa hat as well, Haha.) The Runescape Santa Hat sells for no less than 14 mill. There is really no reason to have one; it gives you no stat boosts what so ever, all it is wanted for is its collectable value. The Santa hat is wanted by all, I am sure. If you were offered a Santa Hat, you would take it, right? Anyone who would not accept a Santa hat is insane. It’s amazing, something that gives you no gain what so ever is worth so much. This is because there were not many dropped, and they are out of circulation.

There is only one way to get a Santa Hat in Runescape, and that is to get it from another player. It was a drop during the Christmas event from when Runescape was just breaking through back in 2009. Now they are worth millions. The Runescape Santa Hat, along with Runescape Party Hats, is basically just a show of wealth. If you own one of them, people know you have big bucks. You will see Pay to Play members with Santa Hats more than you will Free to Play, as the Pay to Play members usually have more money. Often players will wear their Santa hats when they play in mini games such as Castle Wars or the Duel Arena. You can find on this blog, Runescape santa hat and all other items guide articles.

There are many places in Runescape to train, from the Cows in Lumbridge to the Minotaurs in the Stronghold of Security. You can train anywhere there are monsters to kill. So, where to train is not the question. The question is, what to train on. The answer depends on you. There are many variables in what to train on.
They are fast to kill, give a fair amount of experience points, and hit very low when they attack (train attack runescape for all other guides). This makes Goblins the prime monster to fight when you are trying to level up. Goblins can be found all over Runescape. Now if you are looking for items, the Greater Demons have excellent drops. They can be found at the back of the wilderness. As I said, training in Runescape is about what you want to train on, that alone decides where to train.
I used a mixture of Goblins and Minotaur when I was leveling my attack to level 60. They were close by in the Stronghold of Security, so when I felt I was not leveling as fast on the Goblins, I went to Minotaur.
The biggest is, what are you looking to gain? If its levels, you want something that is an easy kill so you get more experience points for your time. However, if you are after items, simply kill the thing that gives the best drops. (For this, usually you will need a lot of food, because they will hit you very hard.) One of the best monsters in my opinion for getting levels is the Goblin.

Sheep Shearer Quest
Reward: 150 Crafting XP and 60gp.
Quest Points: 1
Items Needed: None.
Items Recommended: None.
Items Acquired During the Quest: Shears, 20 Wool, and 20 Balls of wool.
Requirements: None.
Length: Short
Difficulty: Novice
Start Point: Northwest of Lumbridge.
Description: Fred the Farmer’s sheep are getting mighty woolly. He will pay you to shear them.
To Start: Speak with Fred the Farmer.

First, you must locate Fred the Farmer. Fred can be found at him farm. The farm is Northwest of the Sheep Pen, and the Sheep Pen is North of the Lumbridge Castle.

Talk to Fred and he will tell you that his sheep need shearing, but that he does not have the time to do it. He will ask you to help him by bringing him 20 balls of wool. Agree to help him and pick up the shears that are lying on the table in the farmhouse.

Go into the field next to Fred’s house. Either use your shears on the sheep or simply click on them, and then you will get some wool. Shear 20 sheep and get 20 wools. Now, you have your wools, but they are not balls of wool. Therefore, you are going to have to spin them into balls. To do this, go to the Lumbridge Castle.

When you have arrived in the castle, go up the ladder in the southwest corner to the next level. Click the spinning wheel and click make X then type 20 and it will spin all your wools into balls, alternatively, you can use each wool on the Spinning Wheel to turn them into Balls of wool, but this can take awhile.

Once you have spun all your wool into balls, take them back to Fred the Farmer for your reward. Sheep Shearer quest is finished.

Runescape Vampire Slayer Quest Guild

Posted by: admin    in Runescape Quest Guild

Vampire Slayer Quest
Requirements: Able to defeat a level 34 Vampire
Difficulty: Novice
Length: Short
Items Needed: A hammer, Armor and Weapon, and a few coins.
Reward: 4825 Attack experience.
Quest Points: 3
Start Point: Draynor Village.
Description: The people of Draynor village live in constant terror. Their numbers are dwindling, all due to the foul creature lurking in the manor to the north known as a vampire.
To Start: Speak to Morgan.

To begin this quest, locate Morgan in Draynor Village. Talk with him and he will tell you of a vampire, and that he wants you to kill it. He will send you to find his friend Dr. Harlow at the Blue Moon Inn. Before you go all the way to Varrok, head upstairs and search the wall cupboard. You will receive a clove of Garlic. This will be needed later in the quest.

Now go south of the center of Varrok, and you will find the Blue Moon Inn. (A lot of people cannot find this place because there are no signs pointing out that it IS the Blue Moon Inn.) Talk with Dr. Harlow, and buy him a beer when he asks for it. Then he will tell you how to kill the Vampire, and give you a Stake.

Gather everything you need and then go to Draynor Manor. Walk over to the staircase that goes down. Go down the stairs and open the coffin. Count Draynor will jump out and start attacking you. Fight him and when he gets a full red bar, the Stake should automatically stab him. If it does not, make sure you have the Hammer with you, and the Stake. (If it STILL does not work, try using Garlic on him or manually stabbing him with the stake.) When he dies, you will complete the quest.

If you are a lower level, you could also kill Moss Giants. Fighting for your money is not the best way, especially if you are a mage or a ranger. The money you will make is just going to cover your costs in arrows or runes.

Therefore, if you are going to kill monsters for money, you will defiantly want to use meelee. However, even with meelee you spend money on potions, armor, and weapons. To really make money, you will need a high level so you can kill monsters like the dragons, and get some really pricy drops. Of course, the only way to get that high level is to train.

Making millions in Runescape can be hard work, especially if you are trying to kill monsters to get the money. Personally, I believe the best way to making millions in Runescape is hording, but some do not agree. Some believe you can kill certain monsters and sell their drops to make your money. This is true. Greater Demons have some nice drops; occasionally you will get something Rune, and can get a little profit. That is a rare drop, however. It seems some of the best monsters to kill for items are the Dragons.

So unless you are of a high level already, I suggest getting out their and training. The higher level you are, the higher-level monsters you can kill, and the higher-level monsters you can kill, the better drops you will get. This means more money for you.
