Got your very first Treasure Trail clue scroll as a member? Already spent hours beating yourself up over not being able to solve it? Fear not! Everything you need to know regarding Treasure Trails, can be found in this guide. If you are not sure what Treasure Trails are, here is a brief description.

Certain monsters in RuneScape will drop “Clues.” After getting a clue, you will be able to “Read” them to find out what the clue is. To solve the clue you may need to search crates, talk to a person, or dig up a casket in the ground. Once you solve the clue, you will get another one. After solving a number of clues, you will obtain a reward. This reward depends on the class of the clue you were given.

There is a great variety of items you can gain by completing a clue scroll. Some are valuable items, such as 3rd age melee armor. Some not so valuable items include a fire battlestaff. Runescape treasure trail rewards can only be obtained by completing a clue scroll, or some items can be bought from other players. This is how it is possible for free players to obtain some of these items.

The following sections will explain the reward system, and give you answers to all the clues in RuneScape.

There are three different classes determine the rewards for clues and there are different methods of getting different classes of clues. Level 1 Clues being the easiest to get and Level 3 Clues being the most difficult. Please note that at any given time, you can only have one clue. If you have a clue in your bank or inventory, you cannot pick up another clue.

Clues are generally obtained from monster drops, however there other ways they can be obtained. All the sources of clues are listed in the table below.

★1st Class:Mort’ton Bronze Chests*, Player-Owned Kingdoms, Men/Woman (level-2), Farmer, Mugger, Goblin, Barbarian, Al-Kharid Warrior, Thug, Rock Crab, Icefiend, Minotaur, Cave slime, Rogue, Thief, Fremennik Citizen, H.A.M. Member**, H.A.M Guard, Banshee, Afflicted, Ogre coffins, Cockroach Worker, Evil Tree.

★2nd Class:Mort’ton Steel Chests*, Mort’ton Black Chests*, Trouble Brewing mini game, Guard, Giant ant soldier, Men/Women (level-24), Tribesman, Cockatrice, Catablepon, Cyclops (lvl 56), Pyrefiend, Giant Skeleton, Fremennik Warrior, Jogre, Jungle Horror, Ice Warrior, Paladin, Vampire, Dagannoth, Skeleton, Mummies, Harpie Bug Swarm, Abyssal Leech, Sea Snake Hatchling, Sea Snake Young, Rock Crab, Cockroach soldier, Horrific Banshee, Rock Lobster, Evil Tree.

★3rd Class:Mort’ton Silver Chests*, Cyclops (lvl 76), Jelly, Ankou, Turoth, Elf Warrior (archer), Greater Demon, Cave horror, Terror Dogs, Aberrant Specter, Kurask, Elf Warrior (melee), Suqah, Gargoyle, Nechryael, Hellhound, Abyssal Demon, Green Dragon, Blue Dragon, Red Dragon, Black Dragon, Bronze Dragon, Iron Dragon, Steel Dragon, Mithril Dragon, General Graardor, Waterfiend, Scarabites, Spiritual Warrior, Spiritual Mage, Spiritual Ranger, Aviansie, Commander Zilyana, Evil Tree, Mighty Banshee.

Using Treasure Trail Clue Scrolls
Once you get a clue scroll, read it! This is the first step to finding your treasure. There are different types of clue scroll such as anagrams, maps, emotes, and so on. Anagrams will require you to unscramble the letters and then find that person and speak to them. Maps give you a piece of the world map with an X in a certain place. You have to dig on the X to get a casket which has your next clue or reward inside. Emote clues require you to be wearing certain armor/hats/boots, etc and then perform the emote in the given place. You will have to work out which place you need to go to though. Example: Panic in the heart of the Haunted Woods. Beware of double agents! Have no items equipped when you do. The haunted woods is the woods East of Canafis and the emote you have to perform is Panic. Its as easy as that.

Now the section you have all been waiting for. You know how to defend yourselves and have now found a good clan. You also have the required inventories and armor as shown above. Note well that from experience, I have learnt that you have to spend money to gain money. Entering the crater with iron arrows will give you almost no kills at all, unless your range level is 80+. Steels, miths and addies are the only type of arrows you should be pking with. If you make your own clan, the first time you enter should be with iron arrows until you weed out the bsers. Now, I will outline how you can use all these tips and tricks to your advantage.
Be on the lookout always keep your eyes peeled for persons who may be walking around without their clans. Chances are, once you have trained to sufficient levels, the person to get the first hit in will get the kill. Once you see someone, attack them quickly and your clan will do the same. Once they die, pick up the items they drop quickly and follow your leader once again.
Assuming you are victorious, you will see all of your foe’s equipment drop on the ground for you to collect. No one else will be able to see this, but you only have two minutes to pick it up, so it’s a good idea to start choosing what you want to keep as soon as possible - not least because someone hunting you might just track you down!
If you kill someone other than your target
If the person you killed wasn’t your target, you will receive a ‘pick-up penalty’ for not following Mandrith’s rules and you will notice a countdown has started, displayed in the top right of your screen. This countdown has no effect on you unless you pick up items during this time. If you do so, Mandrith will change it to a harsher, ‘leave penalty’ - one that prevents you from leaving, so you are stuck in the area for a few minutes and become an easier target!
While you are trapped in the crater you will find that even logging out won’t help you: you won’t be able to! Even if you close your browser window, you will still be in the crater and vulnerable to attack.
The only way to appease Mandrith is to hunt down and slay your correct target. The guardian of the crater will be pleased by this and remove any countdowns you have been penalised by.
After you kill someone within your clan with a grey skull, and you get the kill, there is an almost 100% chance you will die, simply because when you take the stuff that they had, your skull is going to turn grey, and since the seed of bsing has already been planted, no one will think twice about attacking you. If you decide to leave some stuff on the ground, then attacking the person in the first place would have been a waste because you may have gotten the same items from someone without a grey skull that wasn’t in your clan.
Use your binds I have included binds in your inventory for more than defending yourselves. Once you have caused sufficient damage to an opponent, binding him will ultimately lead to your clan finishing him off for you. You will get the kill if you had damaged him enough. Even if you don’t get the kill, clan members will respect you for helping them get it and of course, there is always next time. Don’t always wait until you hit enough to bind them though,. If there is a big rival clan, bind any worthy opponents so that your clan will have the advantage of killing off their men and ultimately lead to your “owning” of the crater.

A nice mouse auto clicker just set and leave it running. It has an in built time delay to allow you to position the mouse before the clicker takes over. Its a great little application where you need an auto mouse clicker. Now with adjustable mouse down time and left/right mouse selection buttons as requested by some users. Also the mouse auto clicker now has stay ontop functionality.

Hi, i need a runescape auto clicker, that can record the time gap between each click. i tried the autohotkey script writer but the issue is it sets the time between each click to default 1/10 of a millisecond. If you could help me get a script like this it would be great. thank you.

A Runescape Stat Editor is in fact just another “hack” that does not work, and will do you nothing but harm. In fact, most of these “cheats for Runescape” are nothing more than a virus that will steal your username and password. There are actual ways of cheating in Runescape, but the theory of a Stat Editor is almost impossible.

A Stat Editor goes into the root files of the game and changes the variables. That is why most games with these types of hacks are downloadable ones where the program can go into the computer and change them. Runescape is web-based which makes it a lot harder to break into. For some web-based games, people have created “injectors” which will inject their program into the game itself, thus changing the variables. This could actually work for Runescape, but it would take a load of work to get it to work. Jagex works daily to make sure this does not happen. If a Runescape Stat Editor did work, and it was released to the public, Jagex would quickly fix their game and ban every account that was caught using it.

A Stat Editor is able to change more than just your skills, it can change any sort of number that has to do with the game. This includes money, how many of each item, and sometimes even your health! Yes, a Runescape Stat Editor is great in theory, but if one got out and everyone used it, the game would not be worth playing. I have said this time and time again, cheats make the game boring. What would you do if Jagex allowed macros? Let’s say they did, and we all used them.

The price of everything would be dirt-cheap, it would take forever to level because everyone would be chopping the same trees, fishing in the same spots, and mining the same rocks! Almost everyone would be millionaires, with multiple sets of everything. Then, after they have everything, they could auto their combat levels. After all their skills are 99, what would they do then? Brag about having everything to someone else that has everything? Yeah, it would be a very boring world if we all cheated. Jagex understands this, and as such, they make sure it does not happen.

There are actually some sites that offer a Runescape Stat Changer at a price. This price is around $20.00 USD, some are even MORE than that! Of course, I have never paid that to find out if it is fake or not, because I KNOW it is. If there were a Runescape Stat Editor, Jagex would be quick to put up a shield around their game to counter the hack. If you are going to spend money on Runescape, spend it on a membership. That $20.00 USD you blew on a fake hack could have gone to 4 months of membership. Even if the hack did work, Jagex would be on stand-by to ban anyone who used it.

There have also been many times where I have read things like “Give me your username and password and I will use the program on your account.” or “Hey, I promise this is 100% real, just send me your username and password, it will not work if you are under level 40!” and even “If your account is over the level of 50, and you send to this email your username, password, and the stats you want to level 99, then it will change your stats!” Of course, none of these are real and all of them are scams. Trust me, do it yourself and it will be so much more rewarding. How to manage your Miscellania Kingdom effectively
Look at the following two questions:

This article is about managing your Miscellania Kingdom effectively. That’s it – effectively. Many people know the rules of this minigame, many people are high level enough to play it, but only a few knows how to really get profit out of it. Let’s take a look.

Miscellania Kingdom is located on the Miscellania Island (north-west corner of the map) and you can get there by ship from Rellekka or via a fairy ring. There are a few quests you can do there and as a result of the quests completion you can get access to the minigame called “Miscellania Kingdom Management”. There are guides about the quests and there are guides about the minigame on many fan sites. And yes I would recommend following them in order to get the quests done. But the guides about actually managing the Kingdom are way to complex. Don’t ask me why!

It is not that complex in reality and here are just a few simple rules and steps I follow to (Remember the two questions?):

Make money
Get free tree seeds

How do you make money in Runescape?
How in the world did you get to 80th in Farming?
What could be common about these questions?

Well… Funny thing is that they have the same answer for me: Miscellania Kingdom. Yes, managing Miscellania Kingdom is one of my main sources of money and it is also a daily source of FREE tree seeds for my Farming skill.

Quests To Do:

Throne of Miscellania (to get access to the Kingdom management)
Royal Trouble (to make the Kingdom management really profitable)
Fairy Tale Part I and start the Part II, so you could use fairy rings to access the island.
Note that the requirements for these quests are quite demanding:

Hero’s, Fremennik Trials, Lost City and Nature Spirit Quests (what a list!)
In addition to the quests requirements: 40 agility, 40 slayer, 35 herblore and 45 woodcutting.
Assuming that you have done the quests, here are simple steps to manage your Kingdom:
Once a day visit the Kingdom. Use fairy ring (CIP) to get there (That’s why Fairy Tale quests are important. Fairy ring is the only decent way to get there). Before you go there make sure you have 6-7 open slots in your bank.
On the way to the castle stop and chop some maples to restore your popularity. Just a few chops really (10-20 seconds).
Go to consular Ghrim and ask him how your Kingdom is doing. He will tell you that your popularity is 100% and ask if you want to collect resources. Say ‘yes’, and he will show you what your workers collected. After that he will show you the ‘management’ screen. If you have less than 750K in the coffins, add some money. I do it by 300K chunks, so I don’t need to bring money there every day.
That’s it. Teleport to your bank and see what you’ve got. You should have 803 maple logs, 328 coal (or 600+ flax, if you do flax instead of coal), 8 bird nests as a bonus from maples (that’s where free tree seeds come from!), 2-3 gems (or herb seeds if you do flax).
Some math to make you feel good:
Once a day your workers will take 75K from the kingdom coffins.
In return you get:

800 maples – 80K
330 coal – 60-66K
2-3 gems – 1-5K
8 bird nests (with rings, tree seeds and eggs) – hmm, hard to say, maybe 80-100K on average
So your daily profit is: 146-176K. Not bad, huh?
And, of course, this is the perfect way to raise farming, by getting daily supply of free tree seeds. Assuming you plant all tree seeds, you still get daily profit of 66-76K.

Initial setup:

Go to the Kingdom and raise your popularity to 100%. It may take 10-15 min. I personally cut maples there, but if you are better at mining or fishing – you can do it too.
Go visit consular Ghrim in the castle (you’ll know how to find him after the quests). Ask him about managing your Kingdom. He will tell you that your popularity is good and present you with a screen where you can make management actions (such as, like put/withdraw money, reallocate worker assignments between resources).
Put at least 750K in the coffins. No less, otherwise you won’t get full rewards. I usually have 1200K in there and add 300K every 4 days, as money gets spent.
Select assignments. You will have 15 workers to allocate to resources (jobs). Put 9 of them to maples and remaining 6 to flax or coal. (I get maples and coal, but maples and flax works just as well)
Leave the Kingdom and go do whatever you wish to do in RS or real life
Daily routine:

So back to the questions:

How do you make money in Runescape?
How in the world did you get to 80th in Farming?
Well, you know, I just do this ‘Kingdom Management thingy’.

With introduction of the new “barbarian” ways to catch fish an old question “What is the best fishing method?” arisen again. I, being a long time advocate of Monkfish and Salmon/Trout fly-fishing, was quick to rule out these new “barbarian” methods. But then I thought: “Why? Am I really sure?”

So I ended up making a set of experiments on most common fishing methods to find the truce. What can I say? Results appeared to be quite shocking.

Here is what I did at fishing level of 79.
15 minutes fishing sessions in Shilo village, Catherby, Barbarian Outpost and Pistachios Colony. I tried:

Sharks in Catherby (banking them of course)
Lobsters in Catherby (banking them)
Swordfish/Tune using Harpoon in Catherby (banking them)
Swordfish/Tune with bare hands in Catherby (banking them)
New ‘barbarian’ fly-fishing at Barbarian Outpost (powerfishing using caviar and roe as bait)
Monkfish in Pistachios Colony (banking them)
Salmon/Trout fly-fishing in Shilo (selling to the store)
Rainbow fly-fishing in Shilo (banking them)
I calculated average experience and money I was getting from 15 min fishing sessions. Money were calculated with the following prices in mind:

Sharks – 1K ea
Monkfish – 400 ea
Lobsters – 250 ea
Swordfish – 300 ea
Tuna – 50 ea
Rainbow fish – 100 ea
Salmon/Trout – based on a price in the shop at the moment.
Here are the results.
As you can see the new ‘barbarian’ fly fishing appeared to be the fastest way to 99! Plus it gives generous Agility, Strength and Cooking bonuses. Salmon/Trout fly-fishing ought to go away (at least for members).
Though, Monkfish is also very good way up. Yes, it gives less experience, but it is compensated by a good monetary reward.
And what came as a shock to me is that Shark fishing apparently does not make any sense! Monkfish gives better experience and money! No more Shark fishing for me.
Finally, harpoons getting obsolete (unless you are a pure skiller). Bare hands fishing is exactly as fast as Harpooning, but gives an additional Strength bonus.

I hope you find this report useful. If you haven’t completed the Barbarian training, it is probably a time to do so . At least as fishing goes.

P.S. It would be interesting to find out if the same proportions remain on other fishing levels. Mine was 79 at the time. If you decide to try it out on another level I would appreciate if you could share the results with me. Thanks!

Principles of Making Easy Runescape Money on the GE

So the basic principles of Vaskor’s Runescape money making guide are:

You’re looking to trade in items that are traded “moderately” rather than as a commodity so that there is some fluctuation in supply and demand through the day.
You are looking you buy in BULK below the medium price, and sell in BULK above the price you purchased for. Obviously the trades can take quite awhile to complete.
You need to take advantage of all 6 of your trading slots.
Do your research - you need to monitor changes in prices and use your common sense to find bargains.
Sometimes it pays to speculate on the increasing demand for products as a result of game changes. In these instances sometimes it pays to buy at slightly above the medium price and then attempt to sell at the high price on the expectation of growth in demand.
Most of these Runescape money making tips are pretty basic, but with so many things in life, making easy money isn’t about being a rocket scientist, it is just about a little bit of common sense combine with a bit of hard work. Best of luck making your Runescape millions.

Runescape Money Making Guide Using the GE
Vaskor of Reader’s Digest published a wonderful free Runescape money making guide using the Grand Exchange (GE).

So many players left Runescape because they felt that minus the ability to perform unbalanced trades combined with players having access to a very large supply pool via the GE it essentially made Runescape money making from the old way of merchanting impossible, or at least not worth the time. This resigned many players to the fact that the only way you could make good money in Runescape was now to just grind your way through skills like, mining, fishing, fletching, runecrafting etc something many players didn’t enjoy.

I’ll be honest and say that until I read Vaskor’s Runescape money making guide I too was quite resigned to the fact that making easy Runescape money was now virtually impossible, but apparently it’s not, and if anything is now even easier than before because a merchant’s ability to buy and sell is now much faster, thus saving time in regards to off loading your inventory, and doesn’t actually require you to be present for the trade (allowing you to get back to playing Runescape). The only downside is that the margins on many merchantable items is obviously much lower than it used to be, but it is still quite possible to make well over a million gold a day with little effort.
